We are leaders in subsurface utility mapping surveying 3D laser scanning and modelling CAD/Data management
Why Use Our Services?
In the event you need an all-inclusive model of above and below ground utilities mapping which could conflict with engineering and architectural design or construction, our services can provide you with all the technology and experience you need.
Astrea ensures that all activities are done under strict policies and procedures that adhere to recognised industry quality, safety and environmental standards. Currently all policies, procedures and associated documentation are being audited and reviewed, in order to receive accreditation by an independent third party for the following standards:
ISO9001:2015 – Quality Management Systems
ISO14001:2015 – Environmental Management Systems
AS/NZS4801:2001 – OH&S Management Systems
Subsurface Utility Mapping
Identify and Map Underground Utilities and Service Routes including:
Enable your business to:
- Have an accurate record of existing and as-built utilities and as built services
- Minimise site disruption and potential delays
- Improve Compliance
- Identify potential problems and avoid the risk of costly asset failures and emergency repairs
- Reduce health and safety risks
- Mitigate the risk of utility strikes
Dedicated project management to ensure:
- Requirements are met
- Timelines are achieved
- Quality is high
Astrea utilises the latest robotic Surveying Technology including GPS, 3D Scanning & Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) surveys. Astrea has a broad range of land surveying services which include:
Land and building subdivisions
Title boundary re-establishment surveys
Construction set out
3D modelling from point clouds
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)
Feature and level surveys
3D Laser Scanning and Modelling
Depending on project requirements, laser scanning instrumentation may be used. 3D laser scanning and advances in high-dynamic range photography has led to quicker surveys, greater accuracy and easier interpretation of complex underground locations.
Astrea utilises laser scanning technology alongside other data capture technologies such as Total Stations
By using laser scanners, millions of survey points are captured in minutes - enabling large scale projects and areas of restricted access to be surveyed in a shorter time span. The level of accuracy, detail and speed also reduces the need to revisit a site multiple times.
The information captured is then used to create a number of deliverable including conventional plans, elevations, sections, fly-through, augmented reality and rendered models.
Astrea engages highly trained surveyors and draftsman, skilled in the operation of the latest software packages. These include:
12D Model, 12D field & 12D Synergy
AutoDesk Infrastructure Suite 2015 including:
- Civil 3D
- Map 3D
- Trimble Business Centre & Photography
- Leica Cyclone v9
- Rigorous Network Adjustment software
Our vacuum excavation is a non-destructive process that combines high pressurised water and a vacuum loaded holding tank to break up and cut the soil at a controlled rate. This process allows for quick, clean and precise excavations that require less backfill, labour, restoration, and most importantly minimal environmental impact than conventional digging methods.
What are the benefits of our vacuum excavation service?
Clean-cut, minimal post-excavation restoration activities
Safely locates underground services
Less material removed i.e. less disposal, backfill and restoration
